Education Unlimited has now been registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as an approved tertiary education provider. We’re delighted at the benefits this will bring to our partners and learners.
NZQA says the endorsement offers external assurance to the quality of our programmes. It gives learners, employers, and communities confidence that their learning outcomes meet nationally recognised standards, are transferable, and can unlock further learning or employment prospects.
The process of becoming registered was rightly thorough. It affirmed our robust quality management systems, effective internal controls, and alignment with the needs of learners, whānau, and stakeholders. Tina Rose, Education Unlimited Tumuaki /Director, explains its value.
“One of our strengths is that we have a team that is dedicated to staying true to our kaupapa. That’s critical right now because there is so much change in every part of the sector.”
“We set our direction by looking at what’s in the best interests of the tauira, the learners. Strategically, this means we’re able to deliver on what we're good at and to do what we're there to do.”
EducationUnlimited’s partners and clients backed the process for registration with enthusiasm. They shared testimonials that highlighted the impact of EducationUnlimited’s tailored approach. Kiwi Carpentry is a family-owned business based in Kaitaia. Their team is diverse and made up of both qualified and unqualified workers, including over 50% Māori staff.
“They’ve made a massive positive impact in our workplace - helping fill knowledge gaps, and instilling confidence in our team members. We are proud to endorse Education Unlimited and its vision for high-quality education.”
Our long-time partners at Comfort Group also gave a glowing endorsement:
“Our collaboration with Education Unlimited has been instrumental in enhancing the skills and competencies of our workforce.Through their tailored training programmes, we have been able to significantly improve workplace literacy, which has directly contributed to increased productivity, enhanced employee engagement, and better workplace communication.”
Many of our partners emphasised our focus on learners and relationships, such as The Warehouse Group.
“We commend Education Unlimited's focus on fostering inclusive learning environments, reflecting Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and delivering programmes that meet workforce needs. Their commitment to raising standards in education and meaningful stakeholder partnership is evident.”
We are so grateful to all of those who took time to write toNZQA on our behalf. The endorsements meant a lot to our team. We are keenly aware that good relationships are not a one-way thing: instead, they’re theresult of genuine partnerships. Education Unlimited is fortunate to work with the most forward-thinking organisations in the country. Thank you to you all!
Tina recognises that NZQA registration is one milestone among many. We are now in the process of applying for Programme Approvals for three of our microcredentials and Consent to Assess across a range of foundational domains. These cover communication, including business communication, computing, financial literacy and numeracy.
Regular NZQA reviews mean education providers stay grounded in the workplace, drive innovation, and empower people across diverse backgrounds. For Education Unlimited, this means combining our agile, tailor-made training approach with the rigour of external audit and regulation.
“We’re excited about this work. We’re already exploring micro-credentials and their associated pathways. Some of our ākonga will be able to build on what they’re already learning and doing in their jobs to progress on a pathway to formal learning and the opportunities that brings.
