Day to day challenges of life – from long working hours to unexpected events, relationship problems, physical illnesses and financial pressures, among other things, can all affect our mental wellbeing.


And with the Covid-19 crisis of 2020, the day to day challenges just got harder for us, our whanau, our friends, our community and our nation.


To take care of yourself, and be able to help others,

one of the best things you can do is talk.

GoodYarn is a hands-on workshop that makes it easier for people to talk about mental health at work


– though the skills you learn may not only benefit your interactions at work, but also with your whānau and in your community too.


The workshop will present a range of useful tools to help you:

•  recognise the signs and symptoms of stress and common mental health problems,

•  build the confidence and skills to talk to someone when you’re concerned about them, and

•  know how to guide them toward  appropriate supports.

It will also help you learn about practical things you can all do in your day to day life to protect and improve your mental health and the mental health of those around you.
